Hey. I was just wondering what would be the best things to shoot with these bullets. Also i got then 17 hmr savage and i was wondering whats the best bullets to shoot with it? I need to know

Erik, I have only shot the Hornadys and CCIs through my Savage so far and they seem to shoot the same. I have heard that the CCIs are not as explosive as the Hornadys are, but I think the Hornady bullet is my favorite so far.
As far as game is concerned, I would stick to small varments. I dont think I would use it for something coyote sized. It may work fine, but I just dont think its got enough bullet to ethically take one every time. But then I have never tried either. I know the 17 does a great job on crows and goffers.

The CCI TNT is a very explosive little bullet. If you're shooting grey squirrels make sure it's longer shots 75-100yrs and you head shot them. Other wise this bullet will pretty much cut them in half. I don't think the Hornady bullet fragments as much as the CCI. I know the 17 hmr is perfect for stray house cat sized animals at 120+ yrds.
