I have been looking on line for a 307. What is the going rate for one of these. Not the Blue Book but a real world price. Does Winchester still make ammo in 307? Thanks for any help.....

Tim50,

I was watching the prices on these myself about a year ago. It seemed like they were running anywhere from about $300 - $600, depending on condition and features (ie safety, rebounding hammer, Monte Carlo stock, etc). I ended up finding one for $350 in unfired condition. This one is a late model with all of the lawyer proof gadgets. I don't believe I got hurt.

A lot also depends on how badly you want one (witness the Marlin 356 that went for $1800 recently on one of the online auctions). If you take your time I think you should be able to find one near the lower end of that range.

Graff and Sons have .307 ammunition for a bargin price. Less than $20.00 a box.
Texas Gun Shop in San Angelo also has it for less than $20.00.

Guns America has a new unfired 307 in the original box with all the paper work for $699, #976481641. I purchased one for $450. It had been shot, but it is in very good condition.

Tim,
I went to a gun show Saturday in Little Rock, AR. There was a new looking 307, with reloading dies, 100 new brass, and 100 once fired brass for $450. I think with a little talking, the price may have dropped to $425.

The ones I see online are pretty high ($500 - $600 in excellent (+) condition)......I too have found .307 prices to be better at gun shows ($350 - $500). I don't have exact production numbers, but I was told that Winchester was only doing a few hundred a year after the early 1990s.
