Is anyone out there shooting a .257 STW and how do you like it. Can you share some data for it, and would you build it again now that you have shoot one.

My dad built one a few years ago on a stainless Model 70 (originally a 7mm STW). Neat round and in the end it does about 150 - 200 fps over the .257 Weatherby. I would recommend at least a 26" barrel (though we went with a 27.5" tube).......I think one of his favorite loads is 76.0 grains of IMR 7828 under a 115 gr Nosler BT (velocity is somewhere between 3,400 and 3,500 fps).
