I'm in the market for a USED Ruger .22 for my 2 daughters to shoot. I would prefer a model such as the MK512 with the 5 1/2" bull barrel, either in blue or stainless. What's a good price for a used model? In searching Guns America and Auction Arms it appears to be in the $200-250 range.

Also, do "negotiations" take place on the prices listed at Guns America? Just wondering if I see something and don't like the price if I should email an offer to the seller.

That sounds about right. What about just cruising the nearest gun show? That would save on shipping, FFL transfer, etc..... they're popular enough I'd think you would have no trouble finding one or more at a good-sized show.

Yeah, that's a good idea. My local gun club is having their quarterly flee market this weekend, so I hope to find one there. If not, I may just wait for the next gun show.

I paid 329 for my MKII Government Target Model (6 7/8" bull barrel, laser sighted from factory) brand new and i felt it was well worth it. Used ones depending on configuration usually go anywhere between 175 and 300 bucks.
