Anybody have a good load for this bullet in the 41? I'll be trying them in a 10" Contender bbl.

(296/H110, WC820)

Thanks Much!

For your contender give this a try:

BTB .410"-265g WLNGC/20.0g W296/H110/WLPP/Win Brass

This load is very much at the upper end of the pressure envelope, but not to excess.   It will positively make your 10" bb. scream!  Best part of all is it's uniformity of ballistic performance.   ES in the single digits in my tests!

Hope this helps!

God Bless,

Marshall

Thanks Marshall!

I'll give it a whirl. Sounds like a good treestand load.

Now get back to your lead furnace before you get into trouble with the boss.

I have used a similiar load in my 5.5" redhawk, except I use 21.0g of h110/w296. The recoil is stouter than my 454 loads and my dad's 44mag loads, but they are ported guns.        doug

No prob'  contender, I don't know why I double posted. I shot a 250g and 280g in the 41mag, also. I got 1400fps with the 250, 1360 with the 265, and 1300 with the 280. The 265 wasn't marshall's, it was a cast performance. doug

Hmmm, sounds good to me too! *I have a 6.5" bbl Ruger BH and a 14" Contender barrel in 41 Rem Mag with the Williams target sight (no Contender, you can't have my 14" barrel!).

Are these 20-21gr W296 loads safe in a Ruger BH?
