I went out to the Hog Ranch yesterday... saw a bunch of game while at my favorite feeder. Took along a CaptureView Binocular I was given for Father's day. My picture taking needs a little work but I will get the hang of using the device. Here are two pictures...

Deer and Turkeys at the feeder. Notice the doe on the left has a fawn between her hind legs nursing. All four turkeys are toms with great beards!

A couple of hours before dark I had this sow and two piglets come in. She must have had a string of bad luck as she only has two piglets. The bobcats and coyotes must be giving her a bad time.

Great shots!

Boy those old deer are red during the summer months.
Have you ever shot one of the piglets?
It sounds a little heartless but they sure taste good.

You'll have a lot of fun with that camera.
I use mine a lot after the bucks get their horns.

Also, I have what I think is a snake den that I would like to train that camera on just to see for sure.

Your range grass looks great!

The pictures are from the Mead CaptureView Binoculars (http://www.meade.com/captureview/captureview.html). The one I have are the 8 X 22 VGA. Pretty small unit, fits in a large pocket. My wife saw them on HSN and paid a little over $40 for them. They would be up to real tough use but for keep'n in the Jeep they would be fine.

TPV...
I was so hot I just didn't feel like kill'n anything. I was look'n for a BTB bullet kill and didn't think the 60# sow would make much of a picture. I've killed the little ones before and you are right, they are fine eating.

Here is a link to my hog hunting since November '03... http://cuero.nodial.net/~lindareamy/hunting. I've got some more pictures to add if I ever get the time.

I always enjoy the pictures, and your web site. I had a site called "Gobblers Knob" when I was with another net supplier.
I am looking forward to building another one. Great way to show off all the pictures that I never get tired of seeing.

I was thinking that you were using a cam tracker camera. I didn't know about this one that you have.

After the 75 MPH winds blew down three stands, I bought some new ones from a new firm called Monarch. They have a good web site.
Pretty good Blinds and feeders.
Have a safe 4th

I had a video (VCR) based trail camera that was real disappointing. It was called TrophyView and they where built in Ft Worth. The idea was good but the system just wasn't up to the humidity encountered in the field. I sent mine back for repair and never got it back. The company went out of business but I see where another outfit has taken it over.

I've been thinking about buying the Cuddleback Trail Camera....
