I'm taking a long look at the Savage Striker in 7mm-08. I don't even know if this dangerous weapon is legal in Kalifornia!! I'd like some feedback from anybody who has experience with this gun. I'd also like some feedback on what scope you are using and why you like or dislike it.

I do not know about the legality of this particular handgun in California but I have shot the Savage Striker in 243 Win., 7mm-08 and 308 and like all three calibers in particular gun. As far as scopes go, I prefer the Bushnell Trophy 2X-6X-32mm Handgun scope. I have used these scopes for almost 20 years now and so far, I have absolutely no complaints about them....

Unfortunately the Savage Striker is not on the list as legal in California.

So what happens if I purchase one out of state and import it?

Contact the California Attorney General. I suspect they frown on such things (fines, jail time, etc.).
