Has anyone used the .45 LC "magnum" loads from Buffalo Bore, found at Cabela's? I woulkd be interested in any input those who have used them may have. I saw 300 and 325 grain loads, but would like anyone's thoughts on using them in the Ruger Vaquero or the Winchester 94AE rifle. Thanks in advance.

I've shot them both (and shoot equivalent handloads) out of my Rugers and Winchester. They can be a handful in a short barreled piece. My favorite is 21grs H110 and the 325-335gr.
Here's my wife shooting my Sheriffs Model with BBA 325s.

DLS - that looks like a grimace of sheer joy on your wife!
RugerCal480 where you at in PA? I am in northwestern Chester county near Glenmoore and Honey Brook.
Mike,
She's not afraid to shoot anything, so far.
I have pics of her shooting a friends 454 Casull, 500 Linebaugh and my '86 with 510gr handloads and some of Randy Garrett's stompers.
I think she's a keeper!

Actually, when they get the NEW Cabela's in Wheeling, WV, I plan to make a hop-skip-and-jump down there and get some of the Buffalo Bore's in .45LC, and 300 & 325 grains. I have already ordered some of Randy Garrett's for the 45-70 Lever (420 grains) (and have some of the Buffalo Bore 430 grains)and will do the same for the Winchester 94AE shortly. I have the .44magnum and 480 Rugers, both 9.5 inch barrels, but both are scoped and a pain to carry (in the shoulder holster) along with the rifle...if the Ruger Vaquero .45LC (5.5 inch barrel) can be about as effective with deer and black bear that may be the route I go ultimately. I plan to check all with the Chrony and later try reloading for the .45LC and 45-70. The equipment and powder, bullets, and primers are already on hand, just waiting for some time to set them up and go to work and test the results.

I have no experience with Buffalo Bore ammo but just got a box of 38-55. They are the HEAVY 38-55 255 grain bonded core jacketed flat nose in .377". I am going to try them in a Marlin 336CB. The published velocity is 1950 fps. That's sporty for a 255 gr bullet in a 38-55.
Anyone had any experience with this load in the 336CB?
