What would be involved in converting a 357 Marlin to accept a 357 Maximum? Would it just be reaming the chamber and filing the carriage to accept a longer shell?

Taylor,
Wish it were that easy, but the action of the 1894 Marlin simply isn't long enough to handle the Maximum conversion. It can be done with the M94 Winchester though with not that much trouble.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings :(

Marshall,
Can it be done to the '92 copies?

Don't know for sure.... will have to check action length later this evening... my guts tell me no!
I'll check for you, unless someone else has the answer first!
God Bless,
