The smokeless H110 is producing a lot of smoke & soot when fired from my 500

I was wondering what other powders folks have found to work well that don't do
this as much, don't see it happening with factory loads.

All the powder is burning though, see no unburnt grains left behind.
Using 37.4 grains, 440gr cast performance gas check

Ive found H110 to be very dirty in just about everything ive tried and get quite a bit of unburnt powder due to how slow it is in anything but reduced rifle loads....with that said, the best magnum powder ive found for good velocity and cleanliness is BlueDot. 2400 is good too, but has the potential to be dirty under the right conditions. Try somthing a little faster burning with and work up to a full charge and see if its still dirty.

doesn't seem to have any either

Spoke to my local sports store I usually get my powder from,
he had a friend who loads for 50 Beowulf and uses lil'gun,
he said he has shot it and it seems pretty smokeless and clean,
bit faster burn rate

Will give it a try, worse that can happen is more cleaning and smelling :)

Are you loading to full pressure?

Some of the smoke is almost certainly from bullet lube.
