#1 BUCKSHOT from Hornady weighs in at 40grains per pellet. 9 balls equals 360 grains equals 23.33 grams (nicely within the 24 Gram weight limit). 9 balls also fit nicely as a 3 stack inside an 1 1/8 oz cup. Using no buffer, is there any reason why I can't use a published PB powder/remington sts/active wad/win 209 primer 24 gram load to shoot these #1 buck balls? Why a 9 ball #1 load? 1. Cause it fits nicely in a 1 1/8 oz shotcup. 2. The recoil should be reasonable. 3. If it patterns at all at 25 yards and less, it is very sufficient for small game and varmits that are dealt with by .22 cal rimfires. Finally and probably most important, because I want to try it. Note, I will be using a roll crimp with an BP plastic overshot disk. I would appreciate any input and thanks in advance. :) rc
