Was wondering if somebody here was loading for the .223 Ackley Imp and would be will to share your loads..I am using Varget in my .308 and it sure would be nice to be able to use it in the .223 AI as well? Thanks Keith
Varget certainly works well in my standard .223 Rem. You can start at my load of 27.0 gr, using a 50/52 gr bullet and a standard primer. Work up in increments of a grain or two from there.

ON the money..Varget really works with an Ackley Imp .223. A preacher I know has several...and he fills the case with Varget and loads a 50 grn V-Max over it.....uses a Lee factory crimp die......neck sizes using collet die.....these things shoot like a video game......if your isn't let's talk....
BTW...AA 2230 is a good powder for both .308 and .223. I use it for most of my shooting
