A book that enjoyed as a youngster was "A Sporting Chance" by Dan Mannix - ISBN: 1199356662.

The book covered some interesting and exotic hunting topics.It discussed hunting with blowguns, crossbows, ferrets, spearing sharks, duck hunting with a boomerang, and hunting with a cheetah. It certainly held the attention of youngster, that being me.

The book, I believe, has been out of print, however, often a copy can be found at http://www.powells.com.

It's been many years since I've read that book. Still have it up in my library, now that you bring it to mind, it would make a good read this winter to revisit days past.
