I have been loading 40 S&W on a SDB for 6 months now and have been having to chamber check every round (approx. 10,000 so far) because I was having approx. 5-10 rounds per hundred that would reject because the sizing die could not get all the bulge out from Glock fired brass.

Well this weekend I bought my first can of One Shot and used it on my brass. UNBELIEVABLE!! The press is so much easier to operate now and out of 2000 rounds that I loaded this weekend I had no rejects at all when I case gauged them. I am now a believer in lubing my cases.

One other question, do I need to remove the lube from the cases when I am done. They feel dry and not tacky.

Yes, there's still a film of dry lubricant on the cases. You want the chambers dry and the brass dry of any lubricant so that the brass can grab hold of the chamber wall and seal off. Same goes for rifle cartridges and their chambers. You get a lot of back thrust with lubed cases against the revolver frame or the rifle bolt.

I tumble all my brass after FL Sizing to remove the lube
