Is it ok to shoot modern ammo such as Remington Core-Lokt in older rifles, say Model 94 made in 1901. Should I stick to handloaded lead?
Bill
Assuming that you are speaking of the .30 WCF, any modern factory ammo should be OK in a 1901 vintage '94 Winchester. All of the .30-30s were made with nickel steel barrels, and if the gun is in nice condition new ammo isn't a problem. :D

Yeah Mike thanks, it is a 30WCF sorry. I might stick with Remingtons though. I've shot Wincester 150gr in my 1943 Model 94 and the cases really sticked in the chamber and the primers pushed out partly. I think that they are stouter

You may want to check your 1943 for headspace problems. It sounds like it may be a bit excessive.
Or, the Winchester rounds are not strong enough to break the grip of the chamber on the case and aren't pushing the case back hard enough to reseat the primers. I seriously doubt they are stouter.

Well I will likely stick with the Remingtons because they dont do it.
