I have received countless letters, phone calls, e-mails and post cards concerning barrel lining the Ruger MK II pistols...
Barrel lining involves boring a hole through an original factory barrel to a specific size and inserting an "exact" fitting "barrel" or barrel liner into the hole that was bored into the factory barrel. After the barrel liner is inserted it is either silver soldered or Acra-Glassed in place. Then it is chambered and has the extractor slot cut in it to match the factory cut. Everything is then lathe turned and faced and the muzzle crowned with either an 11 degree target crown or recessed 90 degree crown, customers choice. When all is said and done, what you wind up with is a NEW barrel for your MK II pistol that is cheaper than buying a whole new gun...
Cost for relining the Ruger MK II pistol so it will shoot the new 17 mach 2 will be $125.00 and will also include return shipping back to the customer. If anyone is interested in this conversion, send me an e-mail. I now have reamers and barrel liners in stock but because of a backlog of work and moving into a new shop, it will be about 6-weeks before I can start on this new project. I have relined my 6" MK II and so far, performance from this little round has far exceeded my expectations....

Another thing that I have had numerous calls for is building 9" twist barrels for the Contenders to shoot the 60 grain 22 lr. loading. Anyone interested in this, just let me know....
