Any of you guys reloading 45ACP? Do you have a favorite primer mfg or will any do? Just curious as I have not yet developed an affection for one or the other. Though for my GP141 357 I like the CCI's better than most others. thanks....mack

I found a good buy on Winchester large pistol primers many years ago. When I used all of those up I found a good buy on primers at Powder Valley and stocked up for another 20 years.

Yup - can't beat the Winchester WLP's.

I have loaded the .45 ACP for many years. My first choice is Winchester WLP followed by CCI 300. All the best...

Winchester, since C-I-L quit selling primers 20 years ago. Mind you, that's all you can find around here at times. I've never had a misfire in my old Remington-Rand 1911A1, and its ignition system is stock, as far as I know.

I think any large pistol primer will work, as long as you work up the load for the primer you're using.
A magnum primer is not needed in a case that size.
I've used CCI's, mostly because that's the brand my favorite gun shop always stocks. They've always worked fine.
