I just got back from the woods where I set up a target at 100 yds. I have a rem .280 and a Leapers scope with 50mm front lens. I was able to center the shots from left to right; but I hit my limit trying to get the shot to climb any higher. The screw for "UP" ran out of clicks- so I am still about 12" low. What can I do about this?

Please help.

Put shims cut from aluminum pop cans under the rear scope mount until the problem is corrected. Re-center the adjustment range of the scope before shimming so that when you've finished, there will still be a fair amount of up or down elevation ajdustment left for other purposes.

It doesn't take much shimming to make a BIG difference in adjustment.

While you can shim them, might want to investigate why this is necessary, could have a problem with the base, wrong mounts, etc......

If you do end up needing to shim it, here's a guide that might be useful to you...
