Hi;
I picked up a 94 in 30-30 made in 1942. The gun is in excellent mechanical condition. About 80-85% bluing left with beautiful wood. No scratches or gouges. Only thing missing is front sight hood. Any idea of a ballpark figure of what it is worth? Serial number is 13738XX. Any info would be appreciated. I accidentally place an ad in the Marlin 94 column too. Sorry.

1942 started at serial #1,287,469, yours was made later than '42, 1943 probably (production figures for 1943 thru 1948 are unknown). They made 29,981 Model '94s in 1942.

In the condition you described, $300 to $450, just like real-estate, location plays a part in value.

Congrats on the nice find, sir!

Here in WV a good ballpark value would be about $395. But naturally I cant see the rifle.

Thanks guys. I never was a Winchster 94 nut. I like Marlins. Maybe I can look around and trade it for a nice 336 in 35 Remington. Maybe I will place it on the for sale or trade board here. Thanks Again.
