I own a ruger super redhawk 454 and am interested in trying beartooth's 405 grain bullet.  Does anyone have any load data for it or know approxamatly how fast I can safely drive these slugs in my gun?  I have never seen any data for bullets over 300 grains.

I have some on order for my ragingbull and when they get here, I will start with 19.0g of H110/W296 and work my way towards 1300-1400fps. I know the ruger is a strong gun, but my ragingbull has 5 cylinders. I will probably settle at 1350. Which should be about 23g. When they do come, I will post my results.  doug
