Being a portsider, I am curious as to who in the forum are lefties?
I currently own 3 left hand bolt guns.
788 Remington, .284Win.
Savage 11FL, .300WSM
Sako AV, 25'06

Also have owned a 700 Remington, and numerous singles and lever guns over the years.

Can shoot left-handed out the window of a pickup truck, as necessary :) Does that count?

Seriously, I'm surprised that a lot of people never try it. You never know when you might need to use the 'other' way of shooting; once in a while when recoil is starting to bite me off of the bench, I'll switch to try and keep flinching at bay....

Am ambitexterious - natural born lefty, but do quite a few things right handed, including shooting.

A few years back had a problem with cataracts developing in the right (dominate) eye. Even scopes started getting fuzzy. Had to switch over to the port side and didn't really experience much of a problem with sight picture and holding - only, when it came time to manipulate the bolt (as most all my rifles are) I had a dickens of a time!! :eek:

I have never tried shooting left handed, but I think I could pretty easily. I think I am naturally left eye dominate, but growning up my dad kept telling me I have the wrong eye open (when shooting rubber band guns and my BB gun) so I trained myself to keep my right eye open instead, so now whenever some one tries to do a dominant eye test on me I mess with them and change it up all the time :D

Lefties, is there anything else? Thought I died and went to heaven when Remington started making portside 870's and 700's in 1973.

My wife and I are both left handed as is one of my brothers. I have had a Savage 110 and am thinking about a Savage Model 10 just for fun. This is one of the reasons I shoot lever guns.

i to am left handed,only have one left handed gun,sav.111 i built in school.

Shoot left handed, but write with my right? go figure that one. Can shoot right handed also, but cant use left handed rifles, so i have right handed ones, works for me.
