Anyone have good current info on where to find ammo at the best price (either by the box or 1000 rnds)? Are there any online stores that actually have better prices such that the shipping doesn't make it a wash versus local stores? I'm looking for decent clean shooting ammo for target that's cheap (yeah, I know that's asking for a lot) in 357, 40, and 45.

Natchez (http://www.natchezss.com/) usually has some decent prices for ammo. I don't know about the best price, but they're definately reasonable.

My personal favorite is the sportsmans guide.

They have been around for years, I have bought many things from the over the years, ammo included, and have been very happy with all my transactions.
Prices are cheaper than "Cheaper than dirt", and if you pay for the buyers club membership, you get even more discount for some very nice deals. Sells in quantities of single boxes, 500 and 1000 alot of times.
For anyone interested in military surplus, hunting, shooting, and camping supplies. If you have never checked them out, I suggest you do.

Wally World generally has some decent prices on Winchester white box 100 round value packs. I bought some 100 round boxes yesterday and gave something like $15 per hundred for .40S&W and $10 per hundred for 9mm. I think .45ACP is just a hair under $20 per hundred. Not sure about .38s and .357s.
