Been awhile thought I would post this so when you check in you would have some mail. Hope all goes well and you are getting some decent down time. Let us know if you or any of the guys need books, magazines, or anything else for that matter.

Randy,

Thanks for the concern. We been busy taken care of things down south in a small town (trying to baptise our minigun). Spent yesterday teaching battle drills on the range from 0600-2200. I was one tired old dog. Did some night shooting with the M4 and M14 with NVGs. We could use some magazines. (pm sent).

Here's a pic of me and my son at the begining of the month in Baghdad. He had a rocket impact near him yesterday but he is well. The mortar/rocket attacks at my location have tapered off and we haven't had any in the last few days.

Armored vehicle behind us is a M2 Bradly IFV. Individual weapons held are son's Mossberg 590 with pistol grip and surfire light. I've got my M14 National Match. Son has now traded in Mossberg for a Remington 870 with 10, 14 and 18" bbls. and I've added an EOTech sight to the 14.

Local gun shop donated several magazines they had in the business, I am checking into some other shops, will get the second box out today or Monday (gotta find a box). Keep thy head down and let us know when you get some picks of the jackel.

Steve.... I've got a heck of a pile of Rifle/Handloader magazines just taking up space.... use the 'send email' feature on the forum to let me know how to get these to you, if they would be useful (my PM box is nearly full).

Hey CD how do you like that EOTech for under 100yds? They look nice, but I haven't heard any First hand reports on them.

MikeG,

Email sent.

Matt,

Only had it for a month now but do like it. Did take one 3-rd shot group at 100m with it and no problem. For up close and personnal nothing is faster. You do not have a perfect stock well, once you see the dot your on target. Also love the fact that when I wear NVGs the red dot is mounted far enough out so I can use both at the same time. The EOTech has a 1 minute center dot and a larger 64 minute ring around for quick referencing. Have EOTechs mounted on both my M14 and M4 Carbine. Used to use a M68 Aimpoint but the EOTech works just as well. Don't like the Trijicon Reflex for its not bright enough in bright light.
