I have a Colt 36 Cal. cap and ball that says Colts Patent No.2675 on the cylinder and has these four numbers as the last for serial numbers on four other places on the pistol. There are six digits to the number xx2675. The pistol works but is rusty and most of the blueing is gone. It has what i think is a brass handle with wood grips. On top of the barrel it reads- Address COL SAM(little L with a line under it) COLT NEW YORK U.S. AMERICA. I do not have the means at the present to tell if it old or what. Any help would be most appreciated.
