I'm looking for a scope that will let me shoot hogs by moonlight. The perfect scope probably has low magnification, a large objective, and a lighted reticle or dot, while not having excessive overall length. I was looking at the ATN night vision scopes and ran across their variable 2x6 power with a 40mm objective. This scope can be used day or night.

I looked through a similar ATN scope at a gun show and the optics seemed very clear. Street price for the 2x6 is under $300.

Anyone familiar with these?

It looks like a scope with an illuminated reticle and a trajectory compensation system. I'd kinda wonder about needing a trajectory compensation system on a scope used at night, but, maybe it's useful.
A also see 'lifetime warranty'. Someone else was having trouble with an ATN, and didn't get much help from the manufacturer. Check here:http://www.shootersforum.com/showthread.htm?t=14328
Frankly, for the $398 that web page shows, you can get a helluva lot of good scopes. Like a Zeiss Conquest, Leupold, Burris, Bushnell, Nikon or Pentax.

Joe,

I am considering the same scope. Eye relief is good at 90mm (3.5"). Best price so far is $261.95 + S&H.

CLICK ON ATTACHMENT TO ENLARGE. IF ATTACHED SPECIFICATIONS ARE NOT LEDGABLE, PLACE YOUR CURSOR IN THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER OF THE IMAGE THEN LEFT CLICK ON THE EXPAND ICON.

Nitro,

That's the best price I've seen. I can't beat $279.

Do you mind telling me where you found your price?

Thanks,

Joe
