Since I am staying at one place for a little longer I started shooting quite a bit more often. But some experiences have just vanished from my brain. I shot H110, 2400 and AA No. 9 with 240gr FPJ in the 44mag. Right now I put 20gr of AA No. 9 with 240gr FPJ and the Desert Eagle was jaming up to 50% of the time.
Does somebody have some good loads for the Desert Eagle -so that this jaming come down to where I can tolerate it for a pistol like that.
Maybe there are some "No-Go´s" when reloading for the Desert?

Take a look at different load charts and most offer a seperate set of load data for the Eagles.
Because of the gas chamber system they take a stout heavy load and prefer heavy bullets.
I don't own one but used a buddys for a bowling pin match once and in preparation I learned the same thing. I didn't have any major function problems but it would spit the brass right back in my face on lighter loads.
Nothing like a hot large 44 mag case on the face or neck.
Good luck

What do you mean by jaming? Fail to fire, fail to eject, slide stays open??
try heavier bullet, like 265 or 300 gr?

I load for my Brothers .44 Desert Eagle, all the time. I load 24.2 grains of Win. 296, behind a Hornady 240 gr HPXTP. After extensive load development, that is what we found His gun to like the best. I must also add that, according to Hornadys 6th edition loading manual, this is a near max load! Please do not take this load and try it in your gun! Back off a few grains first!
My Brothers gun does not jam or stovepipe with these loads. I might suggest a good cleaning and then try some of that 296.
Please practice proper reloading techniques, don't start with the load I use!

I polished my feed ramp so it looks like glass. I also ONLY use loads that I consider HOT !! Use 240gr. and up.Only use jacketed bullets. Use only factory mags. My particular weapon is the IMI Desert Eagle and it shoots better than great. I use heavy loads of H110(but I'm sure that 296 would be just as good)------GOOD SHOOTIN'---pruhdlr

Forgot to mention, don't "limp wrist" it. Lock the elbow of the shooting hand. ----pruhdlr
