I know that reloading never pays for itself (good thing my wife isn;t looking) but when i can buy a 100rnd case of 12ga winchester dove loads for 15-18 bucks is it worth the time and money to gear up to load my own? I use my shotgun for busting clay in the backyard, doves and turkey.

The 'economy' shotshell loads often aren't much, performance-wise.

You might not reload any cheaper, but bet you can get a LOT better patterns, for the same cost.

Clays - no big deal. Hunting - I'll take the best loads I can. No trick to duplicate the high-dollar trap/skeet/sporting clays loads, for about half the price.

Hi guy`s,

For you it might be better to get the cheap loads at Walmart.

Most shotguners that shoot more then you or guys on a leage find it much better and easyer to reload than run to the store to buy shells.I can duplicate the performance of the good loads for less than the price of the cheap ones.

Reloading adds to the fun of the shooting sports. My ten year old loves to pull the handle on the press. With all the things we have to do in life to put a roof over our head and food on the table its hard to find quality time to spend with family.Reloading helps me spend time with the kids and reloading leads to shooting more and thats what my kids like to do.

Reloading is a win win situation for my family.
