Looks like it's made with the Dixie Slugs Predator or Tri-Ball load in mind! Offered in a 19" or 23" barrel length with raised rib and folding rear sight - blade front....

"Sabatti "Saba Slug" 12 gauge side by side. 3" (76mm) Magnum with cylinder bores. Blade front sight, folding leaf rear sight. Etched leaf engraving on silver grey boxlock receiver. Single trigger. 19" or 23" Barrels. Probably nothing handles or shoots faster than this thumper. For leopard, shoot slugs then switch to buckshot for the follow up."

very nice, I have a weakness for doubles-just not the money to buy them.

You know, there's some real potential in this setup for taking a medium priced american double, adding sights, etc. Even a slicked up Stevens 311. Cut the barrel back to about 24", add sights and swivals, etc. Maybe both barrels would be close, if not sight in one barrel for your slug and go with buckshot in the other. The the shorten barrels were .850" ID, have Mike Orlen thread them for choke tubes..........James

For hundreds less $$$, you could start out with a DeHaan 12ga that's supplied with choke tubes and it's got the very strong Greener Cross Bolt style action. I checked the specs on the proofing and it's over 17,000psi proof - not bad!

Well, at least one importer is trying to meet the market they perceive here in the U.S. I expect it can only grow as more people want a fast firing double 12ga! :)

At least the DeHaan is availalbe with automatic ejectors as an extra cost option.

I have a (almost new) Ruger Red Label,12ga.,in stainless steel,w/composit stock.I had the bbls. cut back to 20" and the LOP cut back to 13". The OAL of the gun is 36". This weapon also has a single trigger, which i feel is very important if your after anything that could bite you, stomp you, gore you,or cut you.( I would use it exclusively for hogs in very thick cover) I would want to put some kind of targeting device on the weapon also. It has a full vent rib but over the chamber the rib is .320" wide and over 3"long and it is integeral w/ the bbls. Seems that this would be a great place to drill and tap for some kind of sighting device. All suggestions are welcome, especially from James. Thanks----- pruhdlr PS The forceing cones have been relieved also. (How would this shoot slugs??)

I don't think the sabots would work at all, but the heavy hollow base Predator slug would be excellent.......James

Thanks James. I would definitely try your slugs first. I would only shoot slugs as I don't believe in buckshot(buckshot is gutshot)and the range would be 50 yds. max. This would be my "SPECIALITY" weapon.------GOOD SHOOTIN'-----pruhdlr

Did you get a chance to check this gun out? What do you think? Anyone else ever see one in person - up close?

THANKS! ;)
