Hey Shooters, I've been gone about a year due to work, farm and building the house. What happened to "MARLIN TALK"?
I KNOW IT GOT HEATED ONCE IN A WHILE, but I thought everyone controled their lanuge. did marlin end up with too many rifles returned? I have an 1970 1984 with a miss aligned barrel. But any way what happen?

Larry Stout started it. It is not affiliated with the Marlin Arms company. But most of the old Marlin talk users are there.

A while back Larry had a tantrum and eliminated "The shooter's Lounge". That was the open forum. It got repetitive, and sometimes abusive, but it sure as heck was interesting! Things are a lot duller now. maybe I should say low-key, like here.

And, we fully intend to keep it that way!

I was a Marlin Talk member, and things got downright nasty there at times. There were threats made against some posters, and once there was talk by others of visiting and beating one up. Granted, the vast majority of the members were good folks and there was a wealth of valuable information available but, as usual, the few ruined it for the rest.

Marlinowners is a good forum, as is this one.

Marlinowners.com is a great forum now, much like this forum is. All that name calling, and immature attitudes from adults is unnecessary anyway. It's a much better place without the Shooters Lounge!
Anyway, McGillicuddy, it's much like the old Marlin Talk, without all the cheap shots. Stop by and say hello!
