Anybody ever encountered a scope with the markings on the adjusting turrets backwards? I went to help a friend zero-in his new M1-A. He had a big 4-12X-50mm scope on it with no brand name that I could see, only a logo which I can't re-produce here, but was something like two interrupted circles within each other. I think it was made in China. In any case, he was doing the shooting, while I spotted and turned the controls on the scope. After about 40 shots, I decided he couldn't shoot that badly and decided Put up a huge target board at 50 yards. Sure enough, the markings were backwards. Moving the screws in the direction marked "Right" moved the impact point left! And moving the screw in the direction marked "Up" moved the point of impact down!
After that, it was easy as pie. Cheap optics! I think he spent about $1,500.00 on the rifle and $39.95 on the scope!
