Well shooters, the 2004 PA State NRA Lever Action championship match is over. I witnessed some great shooting and saw some really fine old and new lever guns. I feel sorry that I have gotten into the lever actions too late to acquire any of the older classic guns and I'm envious of the people that had the foresight to grab the good ones when they were available.

I enjoyed your company and knowledge of guns & loads. Wish we could get together more often. You may find this humorous – When we left the match on Sunday afternoon, we headed north on 219. Looking in the mirror, I saw the unmistakable silhouette of a state trooper hat in the car to my rear so I slowed to a reasonable few mph over the limit. As the big, white car neared I hoped he would drive on by. He did, but it wasn't a trooper, it was you! Those doggone western hats trip me up every time. We were on our way to Corning and that was the highlight of the trip. From what I heard at Bradford there is a chance the States will be at the Consolidated Sportsmen of Lycoming County (Williamsport) next year. That would be a commute match for me.

I left my camera behind and it's being sent here so there will be a delay in my getting the photos to you. I guess old and forgetful are synonymous.
