I am looking to get some more ideas as to what type of loads are out there or that someone might know for this round.
I use it out of a 10" TC barrel. I currently use 250 gr LSWC, 300 gr XTP and 230 gr FMJ.
I was curious if anyone has used the heavier 325 gr. slugs available to 454 Casull ammo?

I shoot the .45 Win. Mag. in a 10" Contender and a Grizzly. My deer load for the Contender consists of the Speer 230 gr. Gold Dot over a hefty charge of H110. It shoots teeny-tiny groups at 100 yards, with only a Burris 3x and is pure poison on deer. It loses a lot of weight, as one would expect from a bullet designed for ACP speeds but the rapid expansion and energy transfer floors deer. I've been tempted to go to a heavier bullet that'll hold more weight but haven't seen a real need to. I might carry the Contender on a hog hunt though so will work up something with a heavy slug if I go that route.

In that case, you REALLY need to try that Hornady XTP round...I know its 300 gr. but its designed for the bigger punch of these rounds. (45 win, 454 casull)...
As far as the heavier rounds go, I don't think I really need them too much. Thanks for the input, however. :)
What other barrels you have?
