I haven't taken my 92 apart yet, but I was curious on something and wanted to check and see if any fellow 92 owners would possibly know.

What is the angle on the tip of the extractor? Is it a 45 degree angle or is it less? I am planning on taking the rifle apart to polish the extractor and possibly lighten it. It is smashing into the back of the case rims too hard, and you can see noticible damage to the case rims.

I just wanted to make sure it also has the cirrect angle to it, and thought some here might know what the precise degrees would be.

Thanks,

Buck

Buck1,

From eyeballing mine, I'd say it was pretty close to 45*.
However there is another thing that will put marks on the cases. The ejector at the bottom of the bolt. Mine had such a stiff ejector spring that it would not flex as the case fed up through the guides. So it would bury the two little projections on the ejector into the case rims. Some polishing and a coil removed from the ejector spring cured this.
When you do take this gun apart don't go nuts about removing metal. Just smooth it up a bit. There is only one source of parts for these Brazilian made guns, so go slow with it.
