It is fast approaching, the presidential election. Since i recelty moved, i made sure all my registrations were in order to vote this year.

I have been thinking about all the hype, discussions, and arguments that people get into over politics. I am curious to see how many of you will actually vote in November.

I say if you don't vote don't complain!!!!!

I agree, those who don't vote have no right to complain, likewise if their candidate wins and does not do as expected, don't complain.

I can say for sure that both my wife and I will be voting, I do not fall totally in-line with everything Bush has done or stands for but of the two, Bush get's my without hesitation.

This may be my own anecdotal observations, but the biggest complainers are those who do NOT vote .. I personally do not have much time for their complaining. Don't vote and you lose your right to complain in my mind.

I always like to keep this quote (or misquote dep on who you ask) - “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” (Edmund Burke)

Have arranged for absentee ballots for the two of us, as we will be out of state on Election Day.

You bet - Bush/Cheney gets the votes in this household!! :D

I'll vote. In Puerto Rico 85-90 per cent of elegible voters vote. This coming election we expect an all-time high. Unfortunately, we can't vote for the Pres./vice pres. of the U.S.. but I'm rooting for Bush!

My wife is a teacher. She would vote for Kerry,
as would most teachers.

I would vote for Bush, since Ventura isn't running. :)

Since our votes would cancel each other,
we are staying home.

I'll be voting. Can't afford not to this time IMO.

Picked up a good bumper sticker at the republican headquarters here today.

my wife is a teacher and will most definatly be voting for President Bush. she might not agree with everything he does and says, but she understands what it takes to lead the country, and that kerry isn't an option... I don't think enough credit is given to teachers, and that just because the unions are pro dem, doesn't mean that represents what the teachers think...

needless to say, President Bush has had my vote from day one.

If I am alive and capapble of walking I will be at the polls. As will my wife.
Other than Bush, I have no idea of who is running for the other offices. I'll have to find out before the election.
In this den of demacrat waste our vote will be one of the few for a Republican, but we'll be there. I checked out the absentee vote, and IL has some hokie laws about it. Conditions that have to be met. We don't qualify.

There are only 2 Republicans in our family, myself and my wife. All the rest are "yellow dog" Democraps. Sad.

Yes I'll vote, and no it wont be for Bush.

I'm not nessiceraly a Kerry supporter, or ever decided if I was a republican or a democrat, but anything is better than what we have.

Also, I will note, I have a lot of respect for our veterans, and the soldiers out there right now, anyone that knows me, can tell you this. I just don't like our commander and chief.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but we are all entitled to vote as we see fit, I'm just not ready to give up our constitution to the U.N.. I don't hate Kerry, but I resent the way he portrayed myself and other vets who served in Viet Nam, and I can't see pandering to the U.N. as he plans to do.

I have the upmost respect for you, and I thank you for what you did. In no way, do I mean anything I say about Bush towards the vets or current soldiers.

Alright guys, if we can't stick to guns/shooting in regards to political topics..... that's the end of it.
