Not a definite answer, I had one in 7 Rem Mag. It only extracted, did not eject. I got rid of it because the extractor would hang up on the belt when loading, you had to ride the cartridge base as you closed it and hope you got your finger out of the way in time.

This was use gun, so I was wondering if this is normal for these guns shooting belted cartridges?

hope this is a little help

None of my older model Contenders will completely eject the casing. Don't know if the G2 and Encore models have been modified to do this or not.

TC Encores and almost all Contenders were not originally designed to 'throw' the empties. Several years ago TC experimented with an eject system and they sold the idea thru Fox Ridge.....it was not popular and they have since abandoned it.
ntj - You should have sent the barrel combination back to TC...they would have fixed it. The extractor should have locked into the rim groove and followed the round on down as you closed the gun. I shoot rimless cartridges all the time (which by the way is no different than a mag case in a TC) and getting them set up can be tricky but they can work well.

Thanks for the advice.. I considered send it back, but I couldn't get it to shooththe way I wanted either. So, traded it on an A-bolt in 7 Rem, I got ripped on the deal, but I wouldn't part with that A-bolt for much of anything!
