Howdy everyone. I was wondering. My High School ROTC program shoots .22 Remington rifles (they're about 13.5 lb) against other schools. It never hit me. I don't know any other schools that shoot competitively outside of the Denver Public Schools district.

Do any other ROTC kids shoot against other schools with .22s? what kind of rifles do you shoot if so? Alright y'all take it easy.

Several high schools in Alaska have rifle teams. Both indoor and Biatholon (crosscountry skiing and shooting).

Wish my high school would have had a shooting team. I see some schools have archery teams and even some trap and skeet teams.

i shoot on a high school shooting team in alaska the average gun weight is about 10lbs they are heavier so there is less recoil so you can hold your same position also at my school a few of us and our coach will shoot high power millitary rifles out to 1000yds. i think thats funner than the small boars . less time in one position!
