My son called home Friday. He was selected as Soldier of the Year for the Brigade. I understand there will be an award cerimony October 20, and he gets a ring, (Not sure if he gets a medal or not)? There are between 6 and 8 thousand troops in his Brigade. Must of gotten it from his mom as I could never keep my mouth shut long enough to get an award. I have to admit I have been bragging ever since I heard about it.

Hoorah! That's great news. I'm porud of my former comrades in arms no matter what service their in. And if I know them or not. Because in the end, we all fight for the same thing. Freedom.
