I can't believe that an idiot like that is allowed to run for office. he says that AK-47s are now going to threaten police officers. Or that terrorist are going to go to a gun show and by AK-47s. Give me a break. Why would terrorist are going to go to a gun, by a semi auto copy of a full auto rifle. And pay twice as much for it. They could easliy smuggle in full auto AK-47s from Mexico. AHH!!! He just pisses me off when he says he's a gun supporter and gun owner and a hunter. The only thing he supports is anti gun views and the only thing he hunts is easy money.

Who the heck prepped Bush on the AWB, I know he has to walk a line but he could have scored big, won't change my vote, just a shame to see

I actually like what Bush said, about law biding citizens should be allowed to own the guns they want to.

i agree with that, but he could have called the AWB what it was, a ban on guns that look mean, it wasn;t at all substantive. He is definately more pro gun than Kerry by far

I agree with that completely. I wrote a long letter to VA's Governor , saying pretty much exactly that, I just touched on a lot more points. I figured it never hurts to start getting your Pro-Gun voice out early.

What I've not heard anyone call Kerry on with his AK-47 story is this simple fact. He blew his whole credibility concerning the AWB.

He stated that this sherrif told him about this bust about a year ago where the gang had an AK-47.

Gee let's think about that for a while! Humm a year ago the AWB was in effect and it obviously did not have a thing to stop that gang member from having the AK-47.

So why hasn't anyone asked him if the AWB was so freaking important and effective did it not stop those thugs from having one???

The answer is clear. Bans do nothing but give more power to the governement.

**** in Britain they are now giving special training to emergency responders on how to treat gun shot wounds. This in a country that has banned hanguns entirely.

Yep, gun bans really work to prevent crime!

Edited for language - even inferred has no place on this board.

Stupid is as Stupid does. The liberals and communist like Kerry want to strip the rights of thew people away so their take over is a **** of a lot simpler. Look at germany in 1933, look at Russia in 1921, look at cuba in 1951, look at england, look at canada, and look at the Aussies. All of these nations today still have high crime and no guns. But look at Switzerland, very low crime rate. Why, because most citizen own a weapon, actually most citizens own a Sig battle rifle. Switzerland's military is based off the militia idea. Also Israel is very pro gun. Their military is based off the Swiss sustem. Yes, they have problems but not crime. When you stripped guns away from people, the Goovernment and the criminals have nothing to fear.

My family left Cuba becasue of that.

Ok, my rant is over.

Switzerland is a bad example, this is a small country with a very small population, have you been there, i live 3 hours car from there, every time i've been there i was impressed, seems like poverty doesn't exist, everyone has a job, every one have a good situation,a good car, dont you think we should not include social situation of a country in its crime rates, you can say whatever you want,, if people don't have social cover for healt wich is i'm sure the fist thing to preserve , and money to feed their familly and have a little fun sometimes and not just working 24/7 it will be had to lower crimes rates, all the examples of country you haved listed above (germany, russia, england, cuba etc) are country that know many social and immigration problems, that they really have to fix, so you can do any laws to permit or restrict guns owners, it will still be the same if peoples in your country cant live with dignity...

Dignity is like respect...it comes from within. What the government does or does not is of no consequence.

dignity... i mean like you can feel man in front of your familly as you can take care of them, and dont have to go sell drugs or do whatever, to get easy money?

Bush is playing brilliant politics with the AWB. By saying he would sign an extension of the freshly expired ban "if it got to his desk" he can appeal to those that feel rather than think. But then he ensures that the Congress doesn't get a bill to his desk to sign, keeping his covenant with the gun owners that are pretty much responsible for him being in the White House. Yes sir! Slight of hand very nicely executed.

I think it would be safe to say that the majority of Americans have plenty of dignity.

Well, I see the point .... poverty breeds crime, and all the laws in the world won't stop desperate people.

Mike I don't think poverty as much as GREED breeds crime.
Look a Enron and Martha and he like goes on they surely are not in poverty but they are greedy..

By the way the CHECK is in the mail...
