Anyone own airguns. They're fun on there own right and also offer a pretty good callange when you hunt some rodents.

For plinking in the in the garage, I have my good old trusty Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun

For small game hunting I have a RWS model 25 Break Action (1000FPS), Crosman 1077 Rifle CO2 Semi (625FPS), A Crosman 3576 Revolver CO2 (435FPS), and a Gamo PT80 Pistol CO2 Semi (410FPS).

All fire the .177 pellet. Many squirrels and rabbits have learned to fear the sound of high pressure air.

Yep - have an RWS Mod 54 with scope, an old Benjamin pump bolt action, a Crossman CO2 that looks like a Lugar or Ruger MkI and a Gamo S&W revolver look-alike. Got another Chinese made underlever pellet rifle that is making the trip to Dallas as a gift for a friend.

Oh, forgot the Daisy Mod 880 lever gun.

got a Gamo Hunter that I bought as my sons first gun about five years ago. That thing is wicked accurate out to 25 yds. or so. Many a squirrel and magpie has went on to meet their maker because of that little jewel.

I've got a Crosman 760 (I think) that shoots BB's and pellets. They're OK, but I enjoy my real guns a lot more.

Oh, I love my real firearms too. But i sometimes find that my old Red Ryder is just as fun. That little red ryder was my first gun ever. I was six years old when I got it. And I hope that someday i will be able to give it to my son. (If I ever have a son.)

Most (but not all) of mine are old...with new seals and a spring here and there, they keep right on working. Bought my first ( a HW 35E which I still have), then an HW 55, Webbly "Osprey", FWB 124D, BSA "Meteor", a FWB 300, and a used FWB 65...then a long lay off of new guns, and a Webbly "exocet" (.25).

The only air rifle I have right now is the Daisy 880 powerline Silver Anniversary edition.
I am thinking about getting another cheap air rifle tho.

I also have a pistol that shoots pellets/BBs/darts mostly just for shooting darts at a target on the wall.

There is my son's first gun that's still here. It's a 20 year old Crossman .22 magnum. I still use it for pests around the house. It has the power of a .22 short and it's about as loud but pretty accurate out to about 25 yards.

All I have is the old Benjamin .22 cal. that's seen plenty of hard use for the past 50 yrs.

I have three nice air rifles. I have a Beeman HW77 (made by Weirauch of Germany), which features a fixed barrel with underlever cocking. I scoped it with an old Weatherby 2-7X. I have another Weirauch, the HW55, which is more of a match rifle. And I still have an old Sheridan Blue Streak that my grandfather gave to me years ago. They are all fun to shoot, and do a great job on starlings. Interestingly, the one I usually reach for is the Sheridan. Air guns are great for off season, indoor practice.

I've never owned an air rifle I would consider inaccurate.

However, I am very frustrated with not being able to find
one that has the barrel fixed to the receiver.

Can't use a scope if the barrel can wiggle around.

I know there are some expensive air rifles available that
don't have this problem, but I would be happy with my cheap
$40 crossman if the barrel was just solid.

I wish I had known sooner that seals could be replaced. I throwed away, my Daisy Powerline 880 that I got when I was 7 or so. Many of animals learned to hate me because of that thing. Man it was fun :) They have them at Wal-Mart, even still, but somehow I feel that it wouldnt be as powerful as the one I had once upon a time.

Confession-
When I was about 10 me and a friend couldn't afford paintball guns so we ended up using red ryders instead, lot of fun but looking back I'm supprised we didn't shoot an eye out or something.

Muzzell, I think we've all done that once in our lives, but will never admit it lest it be used against us by young people; you know who I'm talking about. My friends and I had a pretty good layout, battle ground if you will, and strict mrules about where you could shoot an opponent, how many pumps you could use, etc. We still ended up planting a BB in a friend's nose, which he at first thought was just a whelp. Days later we found out it was not just a goose egg, and boy did we catch **** for it; being stupid and reckless was sometimes just too fun, but it's killed too many folks on the other hand as well.
Anyway, I had a Crossman .177 pellet/BB rifle for years, and it may still inhabit my parents house somewhere under a bed or forgotten in a closet. Now I have the Gammo CO2 pistol, Walther type, plus my grandfather's old Sheridan Blue Streak in (5mm/.20cal). I like the thump of the heavy conical pellets it fires, but I think age has taken a toll on it's power, as I found that penetration was lacking. It accurate though, and just fun to shoot.

I have a Gamo PT80. Its scary accurate. I get quite a few shots out of a CO2 canister. My only complaint is that the makers of the CO2 cans need to tighten their standards as 1/5 of the canisters leak because of poorly aligned necks. :(

I've got a couple of air guns- one crossman pump rifle and the crossman "bolt action" pistol. they both shoot pretty well for what I use them for- to nail the neighbors dogs when they comes over to leave another pile. wish people who have those huge retrievers, collies, shepards and etc. would have the decency to train them not to crap on other peoples lawns!

Jimbo,
I hope you don't pump that pellet gun up too much, they are a bit hard on dogs. I use my trusty Red Ryder for shooing dogs away. I've even shooed deer and wolves away with it! Of course that's probably illegal or something.

I've owned a few cheap .17 calibers, but what I'd like to buy is a good large-caliber air gun. I don't care what it costs. The .22 looks interesting and is available in many catalogs, but it still only shoots a 15(?) grain pellet. I'd like to find a .32 or something even bigger. I'd rather have a pump gun than a CO2 cartrige gun.

Where can I find/what brand names make large-caliber airguns. Suggestions please!

Yesterday me and my friends made our own shot gun by duct taping a dasiy buck BB gun and a 12 ga. shell to a board we ducked behind a rock and let it go and it worked rather well.
