Are there any type of spitzer nosed 22lr round being made? Have some cat problem and i feel a spitzer might do the job very well. I've used 40gr hollow points on the little bastards. It works, but requires a second shot. Also, I'm just wondering for the sheer sake that I'm board.

I have had to shoot 2 cats a while back, I used the Federal Copper-plated 36 gr Hollow point that you get real cheap at WalMart. (The hollow points had been opened up just a bit more using a 1/8 inch drill bit.)
Both cats only took 1 shot each, I don't know of anyplace that makes a spitzer in 22LR, I think a spitzer would probable just go thru with out expanding and wouldn't do as much shock/knock down.
