I've been trying to keep up with the thread on ammo, but I thought I would ask for an update.
Reading through the threads I see that some people say 300 gr. ammo shoots best. Others say 260gr Magtech shoots best. Mine seems to shoot the 260gr Magtech best, but not so good with 300. Mine seems to have a little slower feeding with the 300 gr. It feeds .45 Colt slick as a knife through hot butter.
I was wondering if any of you would mind posting results with factory ammo in 260 to 300 gr. I normally use factory ammo because I only load .454 when in bear country. I use the hotter .45LCs from various makers more than .454.
If you all post your results with the various factory ammo it might be a lot of help to a lot of us.
Recommendations for different ammo for different uses would be nice too.
