Hi guys, I finally took my M59/66 out yesterday...Gotta tell ya I was a bit nervous about shooting her for the first time...Everytime I shoot something new to me I half expect it to blow up!!! Well what a riot this was...I had a blast....I shot about 100 rounds of Cheetah through her without any issues. I was very impressed that the recoil was almost zero too. I was shooting 25 yards indoors at paper plates and was able to keep all rounds on the plate. Pretty good for me as I am not a long gun shooter, all my experience is with handguns. I did learn on the first round (yes I loaded 1 round for first 5 shots, then 2, 4, 6, 8, 10) that you need to let the bolt slam home and not ride it closed. I clicked off the safety and nothing....ejected..loaded and tried again...same deal. 3rd time was the charm....bolt slammed closed, flicked saefty off and BOOM! Only thing I noticed was that the flip up/down front night sight seems to be cocked to the left, not sure if it was damaged in storage or what but if you hold the rifle in front of you and look down at the front sight you can see that it is a bit off. Can't wait to shoot her again....next time I hope to have my M59 finished too....Now to find a bunch of ammo.....
