I posted this in the reloading section but this might be a better place. I have just bought a Uberti 1860 Henry Steel Frame in 45 Colt and was wondering if anybody had some recommendations on some loads for it. At the present time I only have 255 gr lead semi wad cutters, my powders on hand are Universal Clays, Win 231 and XMP5744.
Can this rifle with it's toggle action handle a steady diet of 255 gr. bullets at about 1100 fps or should they be kept down closer to 900 fps? Thanks for any info.
