Just wanted to show you guys what a Rossi can look like if you are a stubborn fool. I had to strip the wood on the buttstock twice and the foreend three times to get them to match. Each piece has 5 coats of true-oil and they look cool, much better in fact than what I thought it would turn out like.
As a point of reference, the original finish was near black on the butt stock, none of the figure showed through. The foreend was a faded out goldish color that looked like someone tried to strip its finish and quit halfway. I've heard that Rossi didn't always match their wood, thus the super dark staining. Here are some pictures!
