Warhawk

I am in the market for a big bore lever gun. I used to have quite a collection of pre safety Marlins, and a few Winchesters. But a divorce and a layoff within 2 years forced me to sell off most of them.
I have a stainless Vaquero and plan to add a 4 5/8 Blackhawk, both .45 Colts. I'd like to have a companion 92 levergun.
I want a trapper length 92 in .45 Colt or .44 Magnum. How are the Rossi's? The new ones I've seen have a cheezy little safety on the rear of the bolt. But a stainless 92 sounds pretty good, and I'm not afraid of a little rework to smooth things up.
How does the new Winchester/Miroku 92 compare to the old Browning B92? My guess is that they are very similar. I was impressed with the new Win 92 except for the tang safety.
I realize that the Rossi is nowhere near the quality of the Winchester or Browning, but it's MUCH cheaper. The idea of a stainless 92 is appealing too. I may get to spend some time in the Alaskan interior. Is the Rossi 92 reliable? Or can it be made 100% reliable fairly easily?
What should I expect to pay for one of the Winchester/Miroku 92s in .45 Colt? Two local shops have them for $769 and $789. How about a Rossi/Puma? they are not stocked by my local dealers.
I was tempted today by a new non ported Marlin 1895G in stainless for $499. But I want to stay with a more "authentic" type lever gun. And something that is smaller and lighter than the 1895. Besides I have a Stainless Remington 700 in .338 mag that has been my hunting rifle for years, and I would reach for it if I were going after something that bites back.
Or should I wait for a Browning 92 in .44 Mag and pair it up with my S&W Mountain Gun or old model Super Blackhawk?
