I was wanting to get some good night vision goggles for $500 or less. Does anybody know of any good ones? Thanks y'all. BTW, it's 9r's fiancee using his account for help.

Doubt seriously if you find any quality goggles for under $500.

There's a slew of monoculars of the 1st generation manufacture on the market these days for under $500.

What kind of price would I be looking at for a good quality pair? I would prefer bi to mono, though. I've done some looking and I'm a little curious as to the main difference between 1st gen and the other generation ones--other than price, that is...hehe. Thanks for helping out on this one!

Niner, I used to sell that stuff. STAY AWAY from anything not manufactured completely, totally and undeniably in the US. Most if not all of the low end(under $1000-1500) is either russian or chinese take offs of US technology. It is junk!!! I still have sources for NEW Gen I and II which is not outragous, the GenIII and Gen III+ is awesome but not as awesome as the price would lead you to believe. If you need more info, PM me and Ill go over all the specs and differences, but its a huge amount of data which I really dont want to post here if I can avoid it. The reality is with night vision you definately get what you pay for.
