Hi All, I picked up a Marlin .35 Rem for my dad to use this hunting season. We sighted it in by single loading the rifle (range rules) and it worked fine. But when we load 2 or 3 rounds in the magazine, the cartridge in the tube jams up against the cartridge in the lifter and locks up the rifle in the lever open position. Needless to say he wasn't pleased. We were able to turn it into a 2 shot rifle by chambering a round and then loading a round into the magazine which worked fine. Any ideas on what's wrong? Thanks in advance! CEJ...

That sounds like the classic Marlin jam.

Hi Jack, I found out what the problem was with the Marlin! I put the factory lever back on and it worked like a charm! I had replaced the factory lever with a large loop lever for my dad and I guess the one size fits most rifles doesn't fit mine. So I guess Brownells will be getting a call today! Thanks again! CEJ...
