i have a SP101 and my girlfriend could not shoot it double action, so i installed a spring kit from http://www.gunsprings.com. it made a huge difference. if i remember right (i don't always) the kit comes with several mainsprings of various strengths and the trick is to use the lightest one that gives 100% ignition with all ammo. i think that a trigger return spring is also supplied. while the gun is apart, carefully lube the innards with high quality gun grease and you should have about the nicest low buck trigger job available, and no permenant mods to the gun.

I don't know what kind of instructions come with the afore mentioned spring kit so I'll just offer a few sugetions.
The owners manual shoud be all you need to get it apart (If you dont have a manual request on from Ruger). Once you have removed the trigger assembly from the frame resist the urge to pull the trigger and see how all the parts work..... There is a small spring on the cylinder latch (parts KH05000 and KE-51) will come out of place. They don't ussually shoot accross the room but you may need two hads to put them back in place, allowing the trigger to return forward.
to replace the trigger return spring (if you choose to ) push in on part listed as KW04600 and remove pin KE-22, slowly allow KW04600 out, swap spring, re-install in reverse order.
see copy of manual online here

The spring kits realy do seem to help, just be sure to completely test the gun before depending on it for and self protection tasks (with your chosen carry ammo).
There is some polishing that may also help some, but I'd just shoot it in so to speak.
Best of luck
Nate
