Anyone using one of these? How do you like it? I just need something that will work great out to 200yds on deer sized game. Sounds like it would fit the bill and affordable too! Interested in some input before making the purchase. Thanks in advance!

Well, I guess no one around here has one? :D I went ahead and bought one Wednesday. Got to use it yesterday while out deer hunting all day. I'm very pleased with it. This is Bushnell's lowest priced unit. I paid $125.00 dollars for it. It doesn't have features of the more expensive units like scan and track but didn't feel I needed those features. I've been getting accurate readings upto 300yds so far with it on deer sized game. Documentation with it rates it upto 200yds on deer sized game. The day was overcast and lightly raining. This unit has a "built in" rain mode. Seems to work fine. Very straight forward and easy operation. Push the button once to turn it on. Aim, push the button and hold until you get a distance reading. Turns itself off.

Will be going out again today and tomorrow, if any problems with it will post. Very happy with it so far. Good hunting everyone!

Didn't see this post until now. I have one, about three years now, doesn't have the rain mode but everything else sounds the same, and I like it and find it useful and always take it hunting. So far that's the only Bushnell product that has held together for me, so I was soured on Bushnell's other products. This one works fine and I'd recommend it to friends.

Thanks for the reply. Real happy with mine! Been getting accurate reads on deer out to 400yds now. Been able to later verify the range. After playing with it a few weeks and checking (verifying) its readings I trust this thing on deer out to 400yds. I don't shoot at them that far though! :D

LMM,

Had one about three years. Had good luck with it ranging deer to as much as 600 yds, in spite of the 200 or so guarantee. It will range a prairie dog to at least 300, maybe reading the rim of the hole, but what difference does it make.

It has given accurate readings over verifiable distances, and good repeatability at laa ranges it will respond to. I'm not at all unhappy that it won't range a rabbit at 1000 yds, all it wouldbe telling me at that range is the target is too far out! After that, who really cares how far it really is.

For the price totally pleased with this thing. Doesn't have all the features of the more expensive ones but didn't cost as much either! ;) Does what I wanted it for. Haven't missed the features of the more expensive ones yet so guess I didn't need them, eh?

So far have ranged deer out to 527yds (verified).
