Answering my own question here. The 17HM2, based upon the Stinger case, is longer than the 17 Aguila, which is base upon a standard 22LR case. 17 Aguilas will pysically chamber and fire in a 17 HM2 chamber. I do not know how much difference there is in the length of the neck, or in the length from the base to the shoulder. I don't think I would run out and buy a brick of 17 Aguila to shoot in a 17 HM2.
